I'd wanted one of these for a newly purchased SoundStation 2 EX sow we could use it in VOIP situations (skype, gotomeeting, webex), but it turns out the SS2EX came with one in the box, already!Unless you already have a SoundStation and/or lost the cable, you shouldn't need this.Availability seems limited (I checked dozens of sites), and is often unavailable.It's literally just a $2 cable (yes, cable markup is insane) -- you could cobble one together by hand if you wanted, but it's not worth the trouble.

This allows you to hold productive conference calls over the Internet. You can now use your Polycom conference phone with Internet phone services such as Skype, MSN Messenger, and Yahoo! Messenger, as well as with computer-based softphone clients. The Computer Calling Kit also enables the phones to work with the Polycom PVX desktop video conferencing application, serving as the microphone and speaker for desktop video calls.Typical computer microphones and speakers are not designed for phone calls, and do not have the proper acoustics or microphones to be used by multiple people in the same room.
