Otterbox makes great cases, this is no exception.Bottom half has a layer thin silicone, which adds some shock protection as well as covers the buttons and jacks, outer shell snaps over phone and protects it.
Better then silicone alone, because it slides in and out of belt cases and pockets easy without sticking or attracting dirt or dust.
I didnt use the clear piece for the screen since I already had a permanent screen guard in place.
It can be a little bit of a pain to take off, if you want to remove the memory card or pull the battery, but other then that, its pretty awesome.
