Kensington Auto Power Adapter with USB Power Port K33418US Review

Bought this from Amazon about 5 months ago to keep my Blackberry 8800 charged in my car. This product when used with my original Blackberry USB charger was about 1/3 the cost of a dedicated Blackberry car charger.

Pros:
1. Small and thin - this unit is smaller than the "traditional" USB power adapters that cost $2-$3 like this one from Eforcity. Size was important given the limited space I have available.

2. Angled USB Port - again, unlike other traditional models, the Kensington is angled so access to the USB port is easier.

3. Excellent power delivery - fully charges my Blackberry in 30 minutes while it's in use and connected to my car's bluetooth handsfree system. Even fully charged my 5G iPod in about an hour while it was playing through an AUX port (not recommended though due to the constant whine as another reviewed pointed out). An old adapter I'd used previously didn't have enough power to both charge and use my phone yet alone an iPod.

Cons:
1. Price - obviously not the cheapest option.

2. Blinding blue LED - with the angle, the blue power LED is bright, super bright actually. Not a big issue during the day, but it can be distracting at night. A small piece of black electricians tape or similar material works fine except if you experience Con #3...

3. Loose contact with car's power receptacle - probably more symptomatic of my car than the adapter, but it doesn't always make a tight fit. I've tried adjusting the contacts but couldn't make enough of a difference to help. Spinning it to a different location usually works but the only way I can tell for certain is from the unholy blue LED power light.

Was it worth $13? For me, yes; but I'd have given it 5 stars if the cost was closer to $8.

Sound-Squared "ECLIPSE" Replacement earphones earbuds for ipod or MP3 player w/Free Earphone Case - GREAT VALUE! Review

I bought these and another model from the same company at the same time because the price seemed pretty good, but mainly because they just looked nice. Now that I have them I can say I got a great deal because these earphones are AWESOME!I can't believe how good they are for what I paid for them.I've gone through at least 6 or 7 other brands of earphones and these are without a doubt the best sounding.Great bass, mids, highs and very very clear sound. They look to be made really well and have a heavier wire than what I usually see in earphones so I expect they will last longer. They also came with three sets of ear pads which I thought was a nice extra. The other model I bought (for my girlfriend) were pink ones called the "Juliet" and they are just as impressive and the color is an exact match to her Ipod.I'll give 5 stars to these earphones and will recommend them based on both pairs being made well, great sounding, and great price. They also came fast and the shipping cost was very fair.

FM Transmitter with integrated Car Charger for the Creative Zen Vision M - uses Gomadic TipExchange Technology Review

I was headed for a long road trip out East.Knowing how sometimes the radio reception is spotty in rural and mountainous regions, and I didn't want to carry fifty CDs along with me, I decided to look into a 'FM charger/transmitter' for my Creative Zen Vision M mp3 player. Since it's not an iPod, my choices for accessories are slim.I read the reviews for the Gomadic product for its use with the iPod and other mp3 players.

Looking at the reviews, I became aware of the Ground Loop problem which seems to be the most negative critique of these devices. We were using a '99 Mercedes on the trip, and encountered the 'loud and annoying humming problem' most people describe.I later used it in my friend's late model Subaru, and it worked perfectly. When I got home and plugged it into my '98 GMC Sierra, I got a tolerably small hum (but noticed it disappears when I unplug the charger-part of the device).

Regarding available transmission frequencies, I live near Chicago where the FM radio dial is pretty crowded. But I had no problems locating a station on the low end of the dial on which to transmit.Transmission is just fine.

The charger works as advertised, too.But if you don't have the groud loop problem licked, you can't comfortably listen to your device and charge it at the same time.

The only downside is that the construction of the unit appears fragile.I'd like it to be a bit more robust, but right now that'sa non-problem.

My son uses a different mp3 device (a Creative Micro) that has a different interface plug. It'd be great if I could purchase the plug for that device instead of a whole complete unit.Maybe Gomadic offers that option, although Amazon does not seem to advertise it.

DB Portable Foldable Speakers for Mp3 Players - Black Review

I bought these speakers to use in my office at work. The sound quality is fine (not amazing but good for what I need). My only complaint/confusion is the tray the iPod sits in.The plug fits into the earbud jack, which we all know is at the bottom of the iPod.But when you plug it in, it will not fit in the tray like it shows in the picture.Unless I'm a complete idiot and just can't figure it out.Oh yeah, the other complaint - no directions come with it.SO, if there is a way to fit the iPod in there better, I wouldn't know it b/c nothing came with it to show you how it's done! Folding it up is easy, but you have to detach the tray to do so and there's no place to connect it once it's folded so it has to travel separately (read - easy to lose it). But, it still works fine for what I need and it was only about $8 w/ s/h.Can't beat that price.

Ezcube FM Transmitter + Hands Free (White) Review

I've purchased three various FM transmitters varying from $[...] dollars and they all suck. When you FINALLY find a strong signal, it will quickly go away. I travel between New Orleans and New York and EZ-Cube works great in both cities.

Yes, it doesn't charge your media player, but it does come with a charger for the device itself which means it doesn't suck you iphone/ipod's energy.

Yes, it doesn't have a mounting system, but the cube is so freakin' small you plug it in the headphone jack and rest it in a cup holder or in any other little nook around you.

The most important aspect of this device aside from these two insanely minor issues is that it works great, I mean really great.Sure there will be moments where you'll hear some minor static, but compared to EVERYTHING else out there, it's night and day.And for $[...] bucks it's a steal.

Seriously, if an FM transmitter is your only option.BUY THIS ONE.What I don't understand is why this device can't be found in any retail store in the U.S.?At least not where I live, or why it's not sold on Amazon, instead it's sold through a secondary company.Come on guys you are seriously missing out in this market.

One last thing....buy it-it's worth every penny, I can listen to Wilco's spacious music without it being disrupted by a continuous hiss.
