XPAL 88049 IPOWER IPHONETM CASE WITH RECHARGEABLE, PORTABLE POWER Review

I travel a lot for work and I'm always scrambling to find a place to charge my iphone in airports, client sites and such.I bought this on a lark as it was so much less expensive than any other battery life extension device for the iphone.Overall, I have been very happy with it. Functionally, it is everything I wanted (it extends my battery life allowing me to use my phone carefree, it stays attached to the phone well enough and it is easy to use).In fact in some ways it has exceeded my expectations. On the whole it works as it is described in it's product info so I will not repeat those.

Some user things not mentioned in the description but worth noting:

1. If you plug your phone into the Xpal iPower2 while it is connected to your PC, it will charge your phone along with the Xpal iPower2.Doing this also allows you to sync your IPOD with your itunes.This was a pleasant surprise and allowed me to carry one less cable when I travel (i.e. using my Xpal as a docking station).

2. The Xpal iPower2 also appears to charge your iphone (~1 hour for an iphone 3G) and not directly power it.Again, I found this to be a bonus.So, I could attach the iPower2 for a while in my pocket and let it charge then put it back into my normal phone case and keep on about my business. Since I'm not crazy about this as an iphone holder or protector (the aesthetics of the holder and the fact that it provides no touchscreen protection concern me, but this is not a criticism of the functionality) I could use it and still avoid the somewhat bulky nature and too colorful look (not a fan of the bright green lettering).

I would have preferred to give this device 4.5 stars, but that was not an option and since the Xpal iPower2 isn't perfect I couldn't in good conscience give it a 5.As I stated above, I am happy I bought it and I use it all the time.I have recommended it to friends and associates as a must have if you really use your iphone for everything and find yourself away from a power source (you GPS users will know what I mean).

Aerosport Iphone 3G/3GS Review

I originally purchased this item for my iPhone 3gs, and used it for several months without incident.I've now moved onto an iPhone 4, and this case continues to work perfectly for the new unit.

The Good:
- Holds phone tight in case
- Key pouch!
- Soft, doesn't irritate skin
- Build quality

The Not-so-Good (but manageable):
- Not built for men with large arms
- Glare on screen makes it difficult to read in some light
- Screen protector makes operating the phone slightly more difficult
- Hard to change volume while in case (though better with iPhone 4 than iPhone 3gs)

Overall it is a very good case, and I've actually already purchased another unit for my girlfriend (and she's very happy with it as well).Can't go wrong for the price!

Krusell Apple iPhone / iPhone 3G Orbit Flex Leather Case Review

This case is sturdy, but the snap is difficult to close and I would have liked the top of the phone to have more protection. The flap is relatively easy to remove and put back.I didn't care for the big silver decoration on the front, so I just popped it off.I would rather have three small holes on the front than the garish swirly thing.

1942-17.4 Iphone (tm) 3g DeCase (white/white) Review

I am not usually one to leave review comments... but I certainly read a BUNCH of reviews on cases for my iPhone 3G.THANK YOU to all those who wrote reviews and helped me pick the Otterbox Defender case!This case is awesome.VERY durable, all functions are accessible... and yes, the oil slicking effect is sometimes present, but easily fixed.

The ONLY issue I had when I installed the case was that immediately after I installed the case, almost 95% of all people I talked to said they heard an echo every time they spoke (you know, when you say something and a second later you hear it in your ear piece... ANNOYING!).

I was bummed because the case is built like a tank and already saved my phone from a 6' drop onto the asphalt in the rain.Though, I decided to remove the felt pieces that cover the mic and ear pieces since they are only there to prevent possible drops of water hitting those phone components directly.Once I removed those pieces, not one person complains of hearing the echo anymore!Strange, but it worked... so I wanted to pass it on.

The echo was the ONLY issue I had with this case... it's the best case I could find and WELL worth the money.I recommend it to everyone I see with an iPhone now :-)
