Cingular Go Phone: Pong Case for iPhone 3G/3GS Review

I'm going to disregard the radiation benefits of this case because I can't prove they exist, and there have been independent studies that have shown the case reduces radiation by 65%. You can look it up.

Instead, I will comment about the functionality of the case. It has a hefty feel to it, adding a little weight to the phone but not enough to really cause issues. It doesn't seem to be as stretchy as my other silicone cases, meaning that the phone itself doesn't move around inside of it. I think overall it's a hair thicker than most, which is alright. I'd rather it didn't say "Pong" in big white letters on the back, but you can't have everything. All of the ports and camera lens line up fine when the case is in place.

My only real complaint is that the "sleep" button at the top is a little tricky to feel through the material, but after a while you'll get it. You have to just press harder. Same with the volume control. Also, my battery extender pack doesn't work unless I remove the case which is a bit of a hassle. Again, not a deal breaker.

I will live with these few minor annoyances to get the benefit of less radiation going through my skull. My last advice is to shop around a bit on price.

Edit: Now that I've been using this for a while, I have noticed something I don't like - the design on the back tends to trap dust and dirt. I generally don't just drop the phone in my pocket, so it's weird how it's picking up all this crap.
