Cingular Go Phone: Motorola S305 Bluetooth Stereo Headset (In Motorola retail package) Review

I got these primarily so I could listen to music and audio podcasts on my Env3 while I walked my dogs. I have to say I really like the wireless aspect. I have enough things around my neck and in my hands without having to worry about headphone cords and an mp3 player too. They fit okay and have good enough sound. When I use them as a hands free device for my phone the person on the other end can understand me well enough with no complaints or asking me to repeat things alot.

The only nit I can pick is when I have it in my pants pocket and I'm in a very open area (like a field or a park) the sound cuts out. Then again I'm not exactly 'petite' so it's most likely just a 'line of sight' issue. I have to have my phone in my shirt pocket if I'm not in a car or at home where the signal can reflect off the interior walls. If I am at home I can leave the phone on the counter and still get a good signal throughout most of the house. Battery life is plenty sufficient for what I'm using them for.

I'll admit he construction *does* feel a little cheap. I noticed the buttons on mine rattled a little but when I first put it on and I could hear it when I turned my head. I didn't notice it though when I was actually using them. Either way, for $40 that's hardly a deal breaker. The bottom line is you get a decent pair of wireless bluetooth headphones for not much more than you would pay for a good pair of regular ones. I did a lot of research before buying these and I'm happy with them. Could they be better? Yeah, but then they would be $90-$100 or more. At $40 I can afford to replace them with another pair if they die an untimely death.
