This case feels really neat and seems like it would protect the iPad well if it were dropped on the its corner.Its hard to explain what the back feels like; it's squishy rubber like if you push on it, but if you run your hand over it, it feels velvety.It doesn't feel like it would get gummy like rubber phone cases eventually do. There's a square depression in the back where the apple is on the iPad, but you can't see the apple though it.However, it makes a nice place for your fingers to rest while you're holding it.
The only thing that I don't like about it is that the edges come away from the sides where the sides of your hands rest while using it.I also have an iLuv Flexi-Clear and it doesn't do that at all.The iLuv case is really hard to get on and off though and this one is really easy.
