Panasonic KX-TG5672B 5.8 GHz FHSS GigaRange Digital Cordless Answering System with Dual Handsets Review

Panasonic KX-TG5672B

I am a work at home telecommuter and although I don't have excessive needs, there were several features I have found to be near vital for the work at home person.

* comfortable headset which stands upright easily.
* headset speaker phone with mute
* base unit speakerphone with mute
* 5.8 GHz to not interfere with wireless network
* digital answering machine
* call waiting

For someone just starting out as a telecommuter, the speakerphone features and mute features are indispensible. Some people prefer headsets, but I find it too similar to being leashed to your desk. A good headset speakerphone prides a quality speaker with which you can listen to conference calls, while on mute, and the microhones are very good quality so those on the other line can hear you well. The Panasonic KX-TG5672B is all of this.

The base system is not too large and take up too much room. Additional features like being able to interact with the answering machine from the headsets is a very nice feature also.

I had a V-Tech cordless phone previously and there is a noticeable quality difference between the V-Tech and Panasonic brands. I did quite a bit of research and read many reviews on the cordless, 5.8GHz, answering machine + speakerphone models. The Panasonic really seems to be out in front.

I have been very satisfied with the KX-TG5672B, it has proved itself to be well made and I have had no issues in the 4 months I have used it. I would recommend it to anyone.

Panasonic KX-TGA650B 5.8GHz 2 Line Expandable Handset for the KX-TG6500 Series Review

I bought two extra handsets to add to the base station that I already had. I've had lots of cordless phones over the years, but this one is the best. Having 4 handsets is very helpful to me because I can stash them all over the house. They have exceptional clarity (people can't tell you are on a cordless phone). They also have a very long range, I have used mine at least 1000 feet outdoors from the base and it works great. Checking messages from the handset is also a great feature. If there's a better cordless phone out there, I haven't found it.

Panasonic KX-TG5439S 5.8 GHz FHSS GigaRange Shock and Splash Resistant Digital Cordless Answering System with Dual Handsets Review

I've been living with two 2 different Uniden speaker phone models for years since I could not find an acceptable replacement. There may be other phones where you can speak to your party without disconnecting the speaker but I never found one. Also I have been unsuccessful finding a replacement with a long battery life.

The clarity on this Panasonic is perfect. When I speak to my party there is no echo. You can place the phone anywhere in the room and speak to your party. The volume is adjustable therefore I can not understand why some find it a problem. It is so nice to put the phone on your desk and write and talk without putting the phone on your shoulder and ending up with a stiff neck.

The "phone book" is accepable and scrolling is quick.Too bad the list is printed alphabetical. There is no way to change this feature. But this may be fine with some users.

The selection of phone ringer tones is great. There is one that is deafening which is fine for me since it differentiates between other phones in my home and home office.

I find the reception is great with distance not a factor. No noise, no static. Those that experience static must be picking up interference from other sources.

I do not use the answering system feature since there is only 15 minutes of call time and I need much more than that therefore I use a stand-alone unit.I have not tried it therfore I can not report.

This is a value-packed phone and no one should hesitate a purchase.

Panasonic KX-TG6054B 5.8 GHz FHSS Expandable Digital Cordless Phone System with 4 Handsets Review

I have been a loyal Panasonic cordless telephone customer for many years now.I am always impressed with the stylish look, awesome reception, useful and fun features, durability and reasonable cost of Panasonic cordless telephones.Even back in the days of 900 MHz cordless phones, Panasonic always seemed to offer the most features and best quality for the money.Well the KX-TG6054B does not dissapoint in the least bit!

To be honest I was a little concerned with the new design, which does away with the traditional antenna "nub" that Panasonic is known for.I was afraid that the lack of this antenna would affect reception and limit distance I could travel with the phone from the base.Well I am happy to say that I was wrong. My wife can walk several houses down the street (city street mind you, were houses are not very far apart) and still receive calls on the new cordless phone.Reception is flawless, with no static, and no dropout sound. The tonal quality of the sound from each receiver is very good.We don't particularly care much for the "Voice Enhancer Technology" as it seems to make the sound a bit artificial.Still I can see where some may like it, as it increases volume and clarity of sound when speaking with a distant (soft spoken) sounding caller. The backlit LCD display is big and clear, even easy to read in moderate sunlight.I will not go into all of the features of this phone, as the list is quite extensive. However, I would like to note that the talking caller ID, which may seem a bit silly to some at first, is really a handy feature that we have grown to love. The text to speech technology in this phone leaves a little to be desired, but you get used to it after awhile and you can always make out who it is that is calling. It pronounces words exactly as they are spelled, for the most part, so a last name like Scholten is pronounced "Sholten".As I said, you get used to it.=o)

My only dissapointment with this phone is the lack of backlit keypads.I specifically chose this model, after doing a bit of research on the Panasonic website, because it was claimed to have backlit keys.I purchased two sets of these phones (one for us and one for a neighbor friend) and I can definately tell you that the claim of backlit keys is false. It may not seem like a big deal to most people, but if you want a phone that you can see the keypad in the dark, while trying to dial, then this becomes an issue of frustration. At least the LCD display is backlit so that you can see when you have mashed down the wrong digits while trying to dial a phone number.I also miss an included belt clip for the telephone handsets, which Panasonic had always provided for models in the past.If you like to use a heaset with your phone, as my wife often does while running her home daycare business, then you find that a belt clip is a needed accessory for clipping the phone to your belt or pants pocket.Sure the phones are small enough that you could probably cram it into your pocket, but then you would surely find that buttons would be pushed when inserting the phone and/or when walking around with it in the pocket.

I also want to note that the 5.8 GHz Panaonic phones will not win any awards for longest battery life; at least when it comes to talk time. The best we can get out of a full charge is about 5 hours of talk time.Still, with 4 handsets at your disposal you can certainly keep enough of them charged to hand off a call to another handset when the low battery alert warns you that you are on borrowed time.Several other manufacturers have managed to squeeze out far more talk time on their 5.8 GHz phones so I don't know why Panasonic always seems to come up weak in this category. However, if you are looking for a cordless phone that will impress you with its long battery life then you should consider one of the Panasonic Dect 6.0 models. They claim to last up to 17 hours of talk time on a single charge. That is simply amazing to me!My next choice of cordless phone may just be a Panasonic Dect 6.0 system.

Overall I would highly recommend the Panasonic KX-TG6054B.Amazon has a great price on this system, which includes not two, not three, but FOUR cordless handsets. You will not be dissapointed with the sound quality and plethora of features of this system.Unless Panasonic decides to cut corners and begins producing far less impressive cordless phones in the future, I will remain a very loyal customer.

Product Description:
The Panasonic KX-TG6054B 5.8 GHz Digital Cordless System with four Handsets is a great addition to any home or office. The Phone That Talks When a call comes in, this phone doesn't just let you see who's calling, it actually tells you who's calling with Talking Caller ID1,2. Using text-to-speech technology, the caller's name is announced between rings if name/number Caller ID1 information is available. Can You Repeat That? With SlowTalk message playback, you'll never miss important information again. You can slow down the playback speed of recorded messages by 30 percent at the touch of a button. And with this system's all-digital answering system, those messages will already be crystal clear and easy to retrieve, with up to 18 minutes of recording time. Voices Come Through Loud and Clear By simulating a band signal above and below the normal bandwidth limitations, Voice Enhancer Technology helps clarify and improve sound reception creating a natural-sounding voice that is easy to hear and understand.

Panasonic KX-TG6051M 5.8 GHz Expandable Digital Cordless Phone System Review

Panasonic definitely makes good phone, my last Panasonic lasted me 10 years of constant abuse (dropping on marble floors), after my current Uniden (lasted less than a year) started having all sorts of problems I decided to go back to Panasonic again, I've been using this phone for a while and I find it a really nice phone laden with bunch of useful features:

+ No static or any kind of interference with WiFi, clear and crisp voice every-time.
+ Hand set is small (it looks larger in amazon pictures)
+ Talking caller ID and selectable ring tones (7 provided) are really nice features, caller ID will pick the name of the caller from your phone book if you have already saved it, if that is not available it will spellout the name returned from the network.
+ Slow talk feature works great, it really reduces the talking speed of the caller making the voice more discernible
+ Long battery life and charges quickly.
+ Easy to navigate menu
+ Loud speaker phone
+ Easy VoiceMail access (I can directly access my Vonage voice mail), this phone will even alert me of a new voice mail from my vonage service.
+ This phone can save pin numbers and other such data and input this information as and when you require in a call, this makes life so much easier
+ Answering machine is simple to operate and stores upto 18 minutes of messages
+ Decent phone book of upto 50 numbers (easy to save and retrieve numbers)
+ Large and bright display.
+ Phone is decently prices considering all the features it have especially the fact that it is expandable to 4 sets.

This phone is an absolute buy and will be more than suffice for all your home phone needs. I especially find that this phone is fully compatible with the extra features provided by Vonage, of-course this phone should work equally well with a fixed line phone network too.

Panasonic Dect 6.0 Black Cordless Phone with Answering Machine and ChoiceMail (KX-TG7431B) Review

I've always liked the Panasonic cordless phones and I decided I wanted to replace an old answering machine and an old 2.4Ghz phone with something new, so I got this set.Now it can be a bit confusing when trying to figure out which set to get, I had it down to 4 different Panasonic DECT units.Having looked at them in person, I went with this one in part because I like the look, but also it had the smallest base unit, and I wanted to take up as little space as possible on my desk.

The sound quality on the set is good, the new screens are easy to read, and even nicer compared to my parents 5.8Ghz Panasonic, the latest Pannys use conventional rechargeable AA/AAA (I forget which offhand) batteries, rather than proprietary batteries, so these will be easier to replace someday.Plus the handset is a lot lighter compared to the older 5.8Ghz handset.

Anyway, I'm very happy with it, great unit for the price.

Panasonic KX-TG6545B DECT 6.0 PLUS Expandable Digital Cordless Answering System with 5 Handsets Review

When I need a cordless telephone, I only look at one brand: "Panasonic".I've tried many brands and was never completely satisfied like I am with a Panasonic. In fact I have returned every other brand of cordless phone that I have ever purchased. They're just not as good as Panasonic.

The sound quality is outstanding and the ease of use is unbelievable. The only thing that I am dissatisfied with in this newest handset design is that Panasonic changed the "message waiting indicator light" on the top of the handset. The light no longer wraps around to the front and back of the phone. It is now mounted flush on the top of the handset. If you are at eye level with the phone you cannot see that the message waiting light is flashing.A very poor design. The handset does however display that a voice message is waiting on the front LCD screen, but it does not attract your attention like a flashing light.

Speaking of the LCD screen, this has got to be the best LCD screen that I have ever seen in my entire life. The print is very large and super easy to read. The white back-lighting is phenomenal with a very high contrast. You will love it!

The illuminated keypad is one of the main reason I purchased this phone.I had an older Panasonic that still works like a champ, but I wanted the illuminated keypad feature which my old unit did not have.

Talking caller ID is another big selling point. It's so nice not to get up to read the information off of the screen when the phone rings. All of the handsets plus the base unit announce who is calling in a very clear and easy to hear and understand voice.Nice job Panasonic!

This phone was so easy to set up that I did not even open the instruction manual.Everything was intuitive.

Lastly, when you buy Panasonic, you know you are going to get a quality product.I own their Plasma TV's, Technics Turntables, Electric Razors just to name a few.All state of the art technology and quality!
