I ride ultra distances so my 605's 15 hour internal battery battery always dies before the end of my rides.This unit has an on/off switch so I keep it plugged in and when I get the alert that my internal battery is low, I switch on the external battery and I'm good to go. Unit doesn't have to turn off or anything...just keeps right on.I mounted the battery adapter under my stem with 2-sided foam tape and rubber-band.I forget that its there.Perfect.
