You go to just about any electronics store and you can find gobs of parephenalia for the ipod and next to nothing for other MP3 players. I spent ages looking for a car adapter for my iriver until I came across gomadic. I was also able to find an adapter for my brother's Phillips GoGear. In both cases the adapters worked excellently.
My one peeve is that tips of the adapters, being interchangeable are kind of easy to lose. As long as you keep the tip on a dongle though this isn't much of a problem.
