Cingular Go Phone: AT&T 2.4GHz Dual Handset Cordless Phone System

After going through poor-quality phone system after phone system (Uniden, VTech, Panasonic and a couple others) for the last 6 years, finally I found one that works reliably and has just the features I want.I like that it DOESN'T have an answering machine, since I use Vonage which comes with voicemail and I don't need the extra price; the voice mail indicator works fine.Sound quality is excellent, both with and without use of speakerphone.I love that the speakerphone is part of the handset as I'm always needing to walk around the house while on the phone and do things (like cook).There's never any noise or static in the house or outside in the yard.Two handsets instead of one is very helpful especially since a bolt of lightning fried my phone wiring so this is the only way I can get two handsets in my house (without expensive repairs to the wiring).I've had the phone for a little over a year so far, no problems.

I agree with the other reviewer that the "new call" indicator on the display is flaky and reports new calls even if the other handset already reviewed them.So, I ignore that feature and only pay attention if I get a voicemail. It also would have been nice if the base supported a third or fourth handset, but this model doesn't do that.

I like it!Am buying another one now for my parents.
