I installed this antenna on a push up pole, as I live in a fringe area and just temporary, so no land line.I have the Cell phone hooked up to the AC charger and have this antenna outside, using BLUETOOTH I can connect a cordless phone set in the house.You want to leave the phone alone with the antenna jack plugged in, as that antenna connection is VERY FRAGILE, repeat VERY FRAGILE!!!
On Cell frequencies, you need to get the antenna as high as possible, I was able to get the antenna 15 ft in the air stuck the mag to a pizza plate(ground plane) and I got a reliable signal.
