Near-Perfect set of attractive, portable speakers.Great deal for $35 bucks.The "hub" has a rubber ring in the middle that the speakers lock into and you can wrap the speaker cables and iPhone/iPod jack cable around it.The hub has an on-off switch, uses AAA batteries or plugs into the wall with the included adapter.The speakers have a substantial feeling to them, but are not too heavy.Speakers are black plastic with translucent black plastic covers.The iPhone stand inserts into the rubber ring of the base and allows the iPhone to lay on its side or upright.This uses a 3.5 mm Jack so you can plug this into the iPhone, or probably any iPod or MP3 player that has an earphone jack.
I use these on my desk,plugged directly into my laptop.I also used these speakers for an outdoor BBQ, and it worked great with my iPhone.
The nice thing is you don't need to put the phone into airport mode.Pretty cool feature-didn't really use it yet, but tested the speaker phone feature:music fades out, calls come through the speakers.
Audiophiles will probably find fault, but for portable speakers at this price and aesthetic, battery powered or via AC Adapter, these sound great.

1.If it came with a carrying case/bag
2.If you could charge your iPhone, iPod

This was our first docking station, and I was looking for something that sounded good and looked great, too. I didn't want anything tacky and large, since I'm funny about the way things look. I bought this dock for my sons, who have basic iPod Shuffles. Although they cannot charge them on this unit, there is none, according to Apple, that both charges and plays for the basic Shuffle; perhaps Apple will work on that next. Anyway, we've found it was a good purchase, because my boys can still play their music, by plugging it in, and I can charge and play my iPhone 3Gs; this was an added bonus, since I had read online that the iPhone was incompatible. Now, there is an error message that pops up, when I dock my iPhone, but you simply click "ignore" and use it anyway. (NOTE: I was given that advice by the manufacturer, and it has proven to be OK) The pipe charges and plays wonderfully, and the remote is very handy, though it can't be used at great distances. And, yes, the remote works when my phone is docked! : ) We're very pleased.
