If you're looking for a wireless card that maximizes on signal capture, you won't regret buying Cisco. I bought Linksys, although cheaper, it was a joke, kept cutting off connection all the time. Although Cisco is more expensive, you pay for what you get. It was painful to have to buy another card but I don't regret spending a single dime on this card.

Cables Unlimited PCI to PCMCIA Adapter Card (IOC9000) Review

To my surprise, this really didn't take long to get working. I installed the card prior to installing Verizons Broadband software, but after a couple restarts and removing the broadband card and reinserting it, XP finally was able to recognize the card. Install your broadband providers software before attaching the adapter card to your mother board, and it should be a breeze. Wait for the computer to start up before inserting the PCMCIA card into the adapter.
