AT&T 146 DesignLine Telephone (Windchill White) Review

I bought this phone free after rebate and it's one of those rare tiny phones with the keypad in the base.This makes it an ideal wall phone.I can't say it's useful as a desk phone as the base slides around despite it's heavy weight.The keypad in the base is a good plus for a phone this inexpensive--usually you need to get a much more expensive speaker phone just for buttons in the base.If you spend a lot of time with voice-response systems, as many of us do with voice mail and such, this telephone is the most convenient way to do it for the least money.
The handset is weird.The microphone is entirely too skinny and if you're a shoulder-holder you probably won't like the phone.The handset cord is long enough but it's the cheap dull-finished kind that gets dirty easily.Get a nice AT&T Tuff Cord to replace it.

GE 29280GE1 Basic Corded Slimline Phone(White) Review

This phone is used in our living room where phone use is minimal, as in our office spaces. The great things about it is that it looks nice and works in a power outage. I would not use it in my office where I use a cordless that has the bells & whistles that make my life a bit easier and where I need to move around while I'm talking.

This is an excellent phone for the price.It does not require a power supply, thereby saving the electric power needed to keep that going.It works even if there is a power outage in the house.It has many very helpful features.The downside is that it will lose the programmed numbers if there is a power outage in the house.

Sony IT-B3 Corded Phone with Speed Dial (Black) Review

If you're looking for a hardy, durable, easy-to-use phone that's reliable and lasts a long time, and are not looking for fancy features, this phone would be the perfect one.

I bought this phone way back in 1994 when I was first a student, and it still works ok today! My friends have commented that the sound quality on their side is excellent when I use this phone. In addition, this phone has survived countless knocks on wood, concrete, ceramic-tile, carpet, and other floors.

If such longevity were found in new electronics products, vendors hoping to make money from replacements would go out of business!

Only disadvantage is that besides having a memory of 10 stored-numbers, redial button, tone/pulse selection and 3 ringer-volumes (off, low, high), there arent any other features to crow about.

This phone cost me US$30 when I first got it (+ 8.25% tax), and that works out to US$3/yr. A really amazing piece of engineering for that price.

Panasonic KX-TS620W Integrated Corded Telephone with All-Digital Answering System Review

I've owned Panasonic products for years and been very satisfied with the quality. This product performs well but overall quality seems to have dropped from the last Panasoic phones I've owned.The buttons have a softer feel and seem to register slower when pushed.Also, the display has no backlighting and is very difficult to see, even with the contrast set to the highest setting.

AT&T 210 Trimline Corded Telephone (Black) Review

There are no bells and whistles here---just a solid, reliable, phone that will always work when you need it to.No batteries run out, no annoying buzz in the background, no phones lost in the bed, under the couch, etc.Just a great phone.I've been using mine for five years and prefer it to my cordless by far.The only problem with this model is 1.the cord that connects the receiver to the part you speak into is way too short (buy a 25 foot cord to replace it) and 2.the 25 foot replacement cord always gets tangled up.But this isn't really a big deal.

AT&T Corded Trimline Phone with 13-Number Memory (210) Review

I have two. I was pleased with the first one for a year and a half, but now the ringer works only when it is in the mood to. I have tried reprogramming it and double-checked that the ringer is switched on. Some days it just won't ring. The second one, I picked up a few weeks ago. It would be great if that one would allow me to dial the number nine, especially since the one number I want to be able to dial quickly from any phone is 9-1-1. I am not happy. Also, sometimes when it's on touchtone, it will only dial via pulse, so when I tried to do telephone banking, I had to run to another phone. No amount of toggling back and forth will get it to switch over to touchtone.

I was suspicious about the quality of this phone when I noticed the tricky marketing ploy:the phone has the AT&T logo - from the old American Telephone & Telegraph from which we could expect better quality, but AT & T has licensed its logo out to "Advanced American Telephones." These "American" telephones are made in China likely under the sorts of working conditions that would explain the shoddiness. I miss the days of quality manufacturing.

BTW, when I went to request a return number from DynaDirect (the company that ships this product), I was not pleased that the formthat needed to be filled out was not a secure form. It asked for way too much personal info not to be an https site. I can't return the phone since after a week I threw out the box only to then discover that I had not yet dialed a number that contained a nine in it.
