I got this as a present from my Dad last Christmas, and it's one of the better things he got me. It's saved me from loosing cell reception while camping, on the way between jobs if I forget to charge it at home, and during extended talking to someone for directions when I was hopelessly lost.Another great thing about car chargers like this is they can keep your phone charged when it goes into "roaming." While a phone is looking for a signal it can use up significantly more battery power than normal. Meaning, if you do alot of driving in mountain areas or remote areas with poor reception, this is a must.
Actual charger is well made and solid. Only gripe I have with it is when plugged in the red light on it stays on whether the car is running or not. I always take mine out of the dash so there isn't a red "this car has electronics in it" blinker in it.
