This is a great case for preventing scratches on the back of the iphone.This case is much better than the Elago version, as other users have stated.This is because the case goes up and over the sides of the iphone, providing protection for the chrome edges.My one concern is that the case (while slightly bendable) will not give much drop protection, although because it is made of polycarbonate, it might protect the phone from a short distance drop.The silver is an excellent color choice and is unobtrusive.The whole case is slim and slick without being slippery.It will not get stuck in your pocket.I would recommend buying a self-adhesive iphone screen protector with this case.Also, the case does NOT protect the top and bottom of the iphone where the dock port and headphone ports are.I feel the case could have been made to leave holes for these items like many cases do, and like it did for the volume and vibrate controls on the sides.If you're looking for a case that preserves the sleek beauty of the iphone, and if you plan on treating your iphone relatively nicely, then this is definitely a good choice.Combined with a screen protector (self adhesive, as this case doesn't quite go up and over the lip of the phone to hold most screen protectors in place), this provides moderate to substantial scratch protection, but probably little drop protection.The silver is a great choice for black iphones, but if you want something even more seamless, try the black.White iphone users will appreciate the white color choice.
