Siemens GigaVoice SL30 Micro Accessory Handset for SL3501 and 4000-Series Expandable Phones Review

Siemens GigaVoice SL30 Micro Accessory Handset for SL3501 and 4000-Series Expandable PhonesIt is important to note that this is not a stand-alone phone. It requires another Siemen's base phone in order to be operational.

The phone is extremely small, think small cell phone small.I do not find the buttons too tight to use. However, my husband (and his larger fingers) does have a little difficulty with the size of the buttons.

The voice quality is very clear and the headset is very useful.I also appreciate how lightweight the phone is when I am using the headset and have the phone in my pocket or clipped to my belt. The phone seems to be well made as it has been dropped on the floor from a table several times and suffered no damage.

If you are like me and use only cordless phones in your home get an UPS (uninterruptible power supply) to hook up to the base system. I was surprised when my power went out and I didn't have a working phone system a few years back. The UPS system took care of the problem with the next power outage.

I strongly recommend this product. It functions as advertised.Be certain to look at the dimensions before you purchase. It is a very small phone, probably smaller than you expect it to be.

Siemens S79H Gigaset Expansion Handset for S795 Review

Siemens S79H Gigaset Expansion Handset for S795This is a nice handset for a Gigaset VoIP/Dect 6 system.I added this handset to a Gigaset 580IP system and overall this handset is much nicer than the 58A handset that comes with the 580IP base station.Button action is good, feature set is much improved, and the directory is multi-level (multiple phone numbers for each entry). The USB connection and synchronization with Outlook is great.

The handset has a few issues, which I hope will be fixed in future firmware releases.Number one is the redail capability: when using the redial list, the handset always trys to redial using the landline (even when VoIP is configured as the primary line). This doesn't work in my situation, since I don't have a landline.Another issue is the "call lists" feature of the handset, which, according to the manual, is supposed to show 3 different types of entries: accepted calls, missed calls, and outgoing calls. My handset only has missed calls...and like the redial list, you can not dial a missed call, because the handset is trying to dial on a non-existent fixed line.

Siemens Gigaset Digital Cordless Phone with Hybrid IP/Landline Calling (A580IP) Review

Siemens Gigaset Digital Cordless Phone with Hybrid IP/Landline CallingI am reasonably technical and run a VOIP PBX for our small business with several different providers, IP Phones and gateways. This seemed like a nice addition where cordless IP phones are needed.I have almost returned this several times because of the UI and contact import issues, however I am keeping it in hope of an updated firmware release.

Pros -
Good voice quality
Register multiple VOIP Providers
Price is right for an expandable VOIP based ATA and handset

Cons -
Handset Interface and Features are a mess to use - Siemens could learn something from other cordless handset manufactures
Vcard contact import is a nightmare
Can't seem to remove internal Gigaset setting/provider
Web interface is acceptable If you do the upgrade... if not it is so slow you can' use it.
No Headset Jack (are you kidding me?)

I want to like it... but not quite prime time.
