Xantrex Technologies 851-0175 XPower Plus 175-Watt Inverter Review

The 175 Power Inverter works great. I used it on a recent car trip and it powered my electronics without any problems. The description is incorrect, however, in that it only has one AC outlet (as in the photo), not two.

Xantrex Technologies 813-0081-00 XPower Pocket Mobile Power Source 100-Watt Inverter Review

This is a slick, useful product that does just what it says it will do.I used to work at Radioshack, and we sold a lot of these, and they were hardly ever returned, so I got one for myself.I use it to charge my cellphone (with the house charger) and my laptop while I'm traveling.It is much more quiet than other inverters, has a big, blue indicator light to show when it is working, and is slim enough to slip under a seat, or even between the center console and a seat (where I have mine).It says "100 watts", but that is only the peak output.Continuous output is only 80 watts, so be sure to check that what you are using it for is 80 or less.It is great for battery charging, but don't even think of running a vacuum or a power tool, that isn't what it is intended for.

Kensington 33234 70 Watt AC/DC Power Adapter for Notebook Computers, iPods, Cell Phones, DVD Players, PDAs Review

Every once in a while you find a product that really makes your life easier. I travel all the time and I used to carry all sorts of power adapters. I tried the Targus AC/DC adapter but it was far too heavy, did not work with my Dell work computer, and did not have all the tips I needed. I finally found this product. I power my Dell laptop, Toshiba laptop, blackberry, cell phone, dvd player, and psp now with this one device (not at the same time of course), on plane, from the wall, or in the car. Two of my co-workers have purchased this since they saw mine. My only wish is that they would make an elbow tip adapter to make the tips take a right angle leaving the device being powered. I don't mind the short wall cable because it saves weight, but yes it does make it hang out of the wall plug sometimes.
