Skullcandy TiTan Earbuds - Chrome Review

Skullcandy TiTan Earbuds - ChromeI've had these for about 6 months.I did a lot of research online before buying these and was hesitant when I actually picked them up at the store--the packaging seemed kind of cheap and I was skeptical.I bought them anyway and was surprised by how well made they felt. They are gratifyingly heavy for their size and the polymer cap that fits into your ear seems durable and is very comfortable.

When I put them on, I was surprised by the sound quality and amount of noise reduction. The sound quality still amazes me.These have really good base and rich, full sound.I've had several pairs of headphones and these blow all of them away in quality. They are definitely competitive with headphones over twice the price.I didn't see any advertisement about noise reduction, but as soon as you put them in, the world becomes muffled, and once you turn on the music to a reasonable volume, nearly all outside noise is drowned out.It feels like walking around in a movie, where the scene volume is muted and the soundtrack is all that is heard. They don't amplify the sound of you breathing, either, as covering your ears would do.

The one thing it does amplify is the sound of the cord moving--it is an awful noise that becomes infuriating quickly.Any thumping at all on the cord is greatly amplified. The noise isn't as noticeable when I take them out running, especially if I wear the cord under clothes. It is most obnoxious when sitting still or walking and the cord is accidentally thumped. As annoying as I find this noise, it doesn't even come close to outweighing the pros of these headphones.

I have taken them out jogging and biking, and they are great in the wind, since most of the ear bud is in your ear canal. My old ear bud headphones forced me to crank the volume to the max to hear over the sound of wind. Not so with these.I've accidentally tugged the cord hard a few times while jogging and as a result, the sound sometimes begins to cut out if the cord is bent in just the wrong way.I am sure this would be the case with most headphones, however, so I do not fault them for it.All in all, I love these and would buy them again immediately even if they broke tomorrow. For $50, I don't think these can be beaten.

Pros:
-Outstanding sound quality
-Very good noise reduction
-Comfortable fit

Cons:
-The sound of the cord moving around is loud and annoying

Panasonic RP-HJE300 Portable Earbud Headphones with Carrying Pouch Review

Panasonic RP-HJE300 Portable Earbud Headphones with Carrying PouchReading reviews is a good way to make an educated purchase but I think you should take them with a grain of salt.I'm not an audiophile so I'm not interested in the opinion of some audiophile who trashes earbuds left and right because only the best of the best will do.Also bear in mind that some of the earbuds reviews are written by those who like excessive bass, the kind that vibrates the licence plate on one's car.

This is my third pair of earbuds, after Sony MDR-EX51 and Senheiser CX300.Sony's rubber cord is a joke and as so many other owners have already pointed out, it simply doesn't last.Senheiser had great tight bass but kept popping out of my ears. One day, I stepped on them and killed the left one.

This particular pair does a much much better job in staying in the ear than the two previous pairs.People who already own earbuds know it's crucial that you need tight fit in order to get bass out of any pair of earbuds. So, what good is a great sounding pair of earbuds if they don't stay in place?

These sound good overall.I like the fact that the trebles are under control and there's plenty of bass when coupled with my IAudio MP3 player. The only tiny complaint I have is that bass sometimes get a little tiring after extended play. I hope this helps...

Cresyn C230E Iphone Combatible Sound Isolating In-Ear Headphone Earbuds with Unique Water Drop Shape For Superior Comfort (Black) Review

Cresyn C230E Iphone Combatible Sound Isolating In-Ear Headphone Earbuds with Unique Water Drop Shape For Superior ComfortThis was definitely a good buy.I used the Cresyn's on my Ipod Classic. For a mere $20 these earbuds actually produce good sound and stay in my ears even when running on a treadmill. The design is unique.Instead of the earbuds sticking straight into your ear it's shaped in such a way that it sits in the crevice of your ear.I'm guessing the design lessens the chances of the earbuds to jolt around. They come with three sets of rubber tips. The middle sized ones are already installed on the earbuds and that size worked fine for me.I didn't experience any discomfort while using them.My gym like most has music blasting in the background with a bit of chit chat and laughter going on.It amazed me how much of that is blocked out while wearing these things.I especially noticed it when I pulled them out at the end of my workout.Holy cow, the noise!Given that I would not wear these while walking around on the streets for safety's sake.Just be very careful if you do.Going back to sound quality, I was extremely pleased with them.It was crisp and clear. The bass came out nice and strong which really surprised me.It made my music much more enjoyable to listen to which in turn gives me more motivation during my workout. The one odd thing about it is that the wires that come out from each bud is supposed to be routed over your ears, but I didn't find that to be a hinderance.Overall, I would highly recommend the Cresyn c230e.

High End Ear Buds Review

High End Ear BudsI wanted a pair of earbuds to use in noisy conditions mostly outside and on airplanes. The little Panasonics really fill the bill. They have secure fit, reduce outside noise (mowing), and sound remarkably good considering what they cost. They are much better than the earbuds that come with iPods. The highs are a bit peaky with the standard eartips, but these rubber tips are sweat resistant and bearable. I set the iPod equalizer for "base boost" and they sound pretty good. Fitting Comply foam eartips Comply T-400 Foam Tips - 3 Pair Pack raises the sound quality to "amazingly good" even without the equalizer. The foam tips are easier to insert, too. I have other earphones that are a little smoother especially in the higher frequency ranges. But, for the purpose and the price, an excellent buy, although calling them "high end" as in "Ultimate Ears" and the like is a little over the top.

Footnote: I had a problem with the first pair I received and Amazon shipped a replacement overnight. They were really nice about it. Three cheers for Amazon and three more for Amazon Prime!

Panasonic RP-HJE300 Portable Earbud Headphones with Carrying Pouch (Black) Review

Panasonic RP-HJE300 Portable Earbud Headphones with Carrying PouchThe title pretty much speaks for itself. These earbuds are surprisingly good!

I already own the Sennheiser PX 100 Collapsible Headphones (FANTASTIC for on-the-ear headphones, providing excellent dynamic range and superb comfort) and use those for travelling. However, I was using a set of Sony MDR-E828LP Fontopia Earbuds with Winding Case for jogging and working out and they left something to be desired. The sound is good, but the fit (on me) is only so-so and they have a tendency to pop out when I'm running. I started searching for a replacement for the Sony earbuds.

I came upon these while searching Amazon. Good reviews, good price, and the being an in-ear style sealed the deal.

The package comes with three sizes of pads and a carrying case, which is a nice touch. I found the medium ones that came already attached worked fine for my ears. The build quality seems quite good.

First, the sound quality of these is great. I listened to a variety of jazz, classical, rock, pop, etc. and these did a good job of reproducing most of the dynamics and nuances.

Second, these are very comfortable for in-ear buds, without feeling intrusive. I've tried the expensive Shure earbuds, which sound excellent, but I found them uncomfortable after a while. These Panasonic earbuds feel good even after extended periods of wear. They do not block outside noise as well as some other models, but personally I don't want my earbuds to completely isolate me from the world.

Overall, if you decide to buy these, you'll get great fitting and sounding earbuds at a great value!

Panasonic RP-HJE200 Portable Earbud Headphones (White) Review

Panasonic RP-HJE200 Portable Earbud HeadphonesSimple review because they are inexpensive and work well.

Fit nice although can be pulled out of my ears a little easier than my other sets. I expect this to be unique to everyones ear canal. They have 3 sizes to choose from like most sets.

Sounds good. Has decent bass. Gives an all around full 3D sound experience. May limit volume slighly more than others but might be a good thing...as we all get a little older and find ourselves sayin "...huh?" a little more often.

They look sharp and since they are Panasonic, they are reliable enough to continuously use forever. They will never break. Ever.
