Yamaha HTR-6130BL 500 Watt 5.1-Channel Home Theater Receiver Review

First I confess.I am technically challenged--I have trouble working a cell phone. But the manual was VERY detailed, if somewhat overwhelming, and the connections were easy because of labels and diagrams. As mentioned, the HDMI connection only passes the audio through to the TV--will not route it to the surround sound speakers.

So I knew I needed a second audio connection for my dvd and cable inputs, but I still had trouble getting any sound from the speakers from my DVD player and had to call tech support. They explained that this unit was designed before HDMI and that the connections were added later as a pass-through for convenience. I wondered why they would have designed it that way to start with--turns out they didn't!But all is well that ends well.

Tech support was EXCELLENT. Although I had connected everything properly (digital coax audio cable for DVD), they walked me through the set up menu choices to get the sound working properly. They even helped me with the settings on my Sony blue ray player!Saving the setup via scene buttons will allow me to to recover the settings without remembering the details.

The first movie I watched, I thought I was in a theater!

Osiris Metatron G-Bag 1080 in Blackout Review

The audio components featured in the unit are acceptable... the amp is loud enough to grab attention of people who pass by.One can be subversive OR completely intrusive if desired. The bag is highly mobile and easy to use. I've been looking for a product just like this for ten years- and it performs exactly how I thought it would.
I recommend the bag to anyone who enjoys EXPERIENCING music (rather than just listening to it)

Wilson Cellular Dual Band Wireless Amplifier / Antenna Review

My husband got this thing and put it on our mini-van, telling me it would make my cell phone work no matter where I went.We live in a pretty remote area, and I am always nervous that I'm going to break down or get stuck someplace and have no way to call my husband or get help.

I have been very impressed at how well my phone has worked since he put this in my van.Everyone asks me who my provider is and even my friends' phones work better when they ride with me.It's great!Plus, my battery seems to last longer in my phone now. ???Is that just a coincidence or does this product somehow affect battery life too?Either way, I highly recommend it.

GN Multi Purpose Headset Amplifier Telephone & Computer Review

I use the amplifier and headset extensively in my personal and executive coaching business (Peak Effectiveness) which requires many classes to be taken by teleconference. I had some problems with the settings (not being terribly swift with such technology) but upon calling their technical support, the amp and headset have worked beautifully. Tech support was very patient and helpful. I recommend the set highly.

I now use the set with Comcast Voice (telephone through the Internet via a special modem), but also have used it with NetZero Voice (through the computer through the Internet). I listen to instructional MP3's downloaded on the computer using the headset so they don't irritate my wife. All uses have been highly satisfactory.

I bought this for my grandfather so he could hear better on the phone. I turned up the volume and called him from my cell phone. He said "Stop yelling at me!";) so it worked quite well. He only needed it at 1/3 volume and seems to like it.
