This product is advertised as the only charger that can use alkaline batteries or rechargeable batteries with out worry about voltage.The problem is the tolerances are too tight and it is difficult to fit the rechargeable batteries in the device.You can do it, but it should be so hard to do it.
WHen I use rechargeable batteries I use a strap to hold the batteries in instead of the cover that came with for fear of breaking the cover.
Alkaline batteries fit just fine.
Overall I am happy with this product and it works with the 3 different tips fr 3 different products I use it with.
