Couple of warnings about this phone, though:
If you hook this phone to a VoIP system like Vonage, Broadvoice, Asterisk, or an analog telephone system the ringer may not ring properly because it's mechanical and takes more than a few watts to run.Best I can achieve on my home analog phone system is a "ding".Using it on regular phone lines works great. You can get aftermarket electronic ringers that replace the gong ringer with a modern electronic warbler for about $5-$10.
Message waiting light and data port are not present.I don't know why every vendor photograph shows the light but it just isn't there except by special order from Scitec.
The handset cord and base cord are kinky, dirt-grabbing cheap vinyl which you will want to replace quickly. On the bright side the base cord is 25 feet long.
I highly recommend this if you grew up with this kind of phone. The original version of this phone made by ITT Cortelco can run you over fifty bucks so this Scitec Aegis 2500-clone is a bargain. All the auction and used classic phone web sites charge premiums for popular colors.I'm fairly certain the modern bisque color is rare so you won't easily find original ITT 2500 sets in this color on those sites, so get this one today!
