This one small component allows me to use my own computer headphones and microphone to talk into the landline phone hands-free.
There are some other models I have tested where the internal connections are not right,
allowing either you or the person you are calling to hear a very strong echo, but I was very pleased with this model,
because the sound quality for both ends of the conversation is very high and all leads were clearly labeled
