I purchased this to be used primarily as a car charger for my Archos 7 that is rigged up to the drivers side headrest for my son to use.It works great and I leave power point part plugged in all the time with the line running through the center console to the backseat where I can reach back and plug it into the Archos as needed.
The only thing I would change on it is to make the power point adapter part a tad smaller, it's rather large. I have it plugged into the center console arm rest power point in an Acura TL and at first I was worried the console lid may not close over it.
No problems with it.
