Snom Dect Repeater Review

This device allows the already robust cordless handset (Snom M3 Complete Set) reach twice the distance.The handsets already were capable of reaching through a stonewall, through an intervening building, into a third building.We wanted to be able to get through the third building to an adjacent green space.By adding this small device in the third building, we got much more extra area than we needed.Voice quality did not seem to be diminished despite the relay required.

I believe the device could be connected to PoE to avoid having to run 110V to the transformer.The transformer's cord attaches via a standard RJ-45.I don't remember the voltage output by the transformer.

As I recall in my research (several months ago), all repeaters must connect to the base station.Thus with three repeaters you could cover up to twice the distance from the base station in different directions.You cannot go three times the distance in one direction.
