I have two cordless AT&T phones and a battery in the base for power outages.The OEM batteries had already been replaced one time with cheap knock-offs and only months later things began to "break" on the phones.Lo and behold, new, name-brand batteries and everything works great again.I kid you not, the mic was cutting out, people could hear me, etc.I think the voltage just wasn't quite right with the cheap batteries.These last for hours of use now with no problem.
