I researched all the phones out there for over 2 weeks and finally settled on another Vtech phone.I accidentally threw away a handset from my prior Vtech and so had to replace the whole unit since it was several years old.Almost impossible to find one with a backlit keypad which was a must for me.This system has far more features than I will ever use.It was easy for me to set up what I needed, most of it without referring to the manual and I am technically challenged.The sound is clear and the extra features on the answering unit, like a keypad and number of messages received is a plus compared to some of the other phones out there.My only regret is that it does not take regular rechargeable batteries that my other Vtech used but since I keep my extensions on their chargers, I expect I will not have to replace them for a long time.Very satisfied with this purchase!Click Here to see more reviews about: V-Tech VT6897 5.8GHz Digital Three Handset Cordless Answering Phone System with CID/CW (Grey/Silver)
