Just got this item so I can't speak to the long term effectiveness.However, T-mobile no longer carries this battery and referred me to the manufacturer.The battery I had was from HTC and was never what I thought it should have been, and being it was the weekend and HTC wasn't answering phones, I came to Amazon.So far it has exceeded my expectations; holding a charge for 24 hours of moderate use.
