Palm 3199WW Cradle Kit for Tungsten E2/T5/TX and LifeDrive Review

I would suggest this to anyone who plunks down the cash for the Tungsten T5.The cradle is reasonably sturdy/heavy/unlikely to fall over when your PDA is sitting in it and looks reasonably nice on your desk.I also think it is much easier than messing around with the cheap adapter and USB cable which comes in the box.

The only thing I don't like about it is the annoying light that is ALWAYS on!If you look in the picture, it is the light gray/non-silver part.It catches the corner of my eye and has been surprisingly distracting -- so much so that I have had to unplug it.Otherwise, I'd have to say it's great and give it all five stars!

BoxWave Palm Centro Replacement Stylus (Black) Review

Comes in a rigid plastic container inside the bubble envelope, which may partly explain why it's so much more expensive than the 60-cent replacement Centro stylus sold by BargainCell (AKA eforcity).The two replacement styli seem about equivalent to me based on my brief testing so far.In a separate listing, someone complained about the tip of this one being grey rather than black, making for less contrast against the screen, but that seems to not be a significant problem to me, especially if you're inside, where the contrast vs. the screen's backlight makes the tip seem much darker.The BargainCell one is perhaps slightly more comfortable in the hand, but it's an extremely minor difference.This one fits in the Centro slightly more snugly, and I have had issues with replacement styli for previous Treos becoming too loose over time and falling out.

The real question for either of these is whether their glue at the points the metal is joined to the plastic will fail, which it has for some prior reviewers.I'll post a followup if that occurs.

This device works great.I use it on a USB Laptop to charge the Treo 650. I also use it on a wall outlet and the car.No problems.The cords retract when you want to fold it up so very convenient.It does not come with a case, so you'll use your own bag or whatever.The part that fits into the Treo is very secure.It does not pop off like other chargers.The only thing I can see that could be a problem is if you are rough with the pieces or they are just loose in a bag they can get lost or possibloy damaged.

Metal Stylus for Palm Centro 685 / 690 Review

Unlike the (non-pen) Boxwave replacement stylus for the Centro, isn't shipped in a rigid plastic container inside the bubble envelope, but mine sustained no damage in shipping.Anyhow, the fact that you're not paying for extra packaging helps make this one so much cheaper.

The two replacement styli seem about equivalent to me based on my brief testing so far.This one is perhaps slightly more comfortable in the hand than the Boxwave one, but it's an extremely minor difference.The reviewer who claimed that this one is about as flexible as the original plastic stylus is either crazy or got the wrong item (or maybe an early iteration of this product); the metal is appropriately rigid.There are also no issues with the tip being of the wrong shape or being of potentially screen-scratching material on either stylus.

This Boxwave stylus fits in the Centro slightly more snugly, and I have had issues with replacement styli for previous Treos becoming too loose over time and falling out, so hopefully that won't happen with this one.

The real question for either of these is whether their glue at the points the metal is joined to the plastic will fail, which it has for some prior reviewers.I'll post a followup if that occurs.There was a bit of glue residue along one of the seams on this stylus, which doesn't give one great confidence in the QA for these, but may at least indicate that they used plenty of glue there.
