Blackberry Storm Auto Vent Holder with Car Charger - Uses Gomadic TipExchange Review

It was a little tricky to get installed, but after a couple minutes I had it ready to go.It's great for plugging the storm in and using it as a clock (my Jeep Liberty doesn't have a dash clock). It also works great for using GPS map software on the Storm.

Powertraveller PowerMonkey V2 Black Portable Charger for iPods, iPhones, Sony PSP and Much More Digital Devices! Review

I received the new version of the PowerMonkey a couple of days ago, and am impressed to say the least.Customer feedback on the original device complained about the adaptor tips being flimsy and breaking after a couple of uses. When I e-mailed PowerTraveller to ask what (if anything) they had done to address the problem, they responded that the new version had reinforced tips. This certainly seems to be the case. The adaptors included with the charger are hefty, and it seems likely that they will withstand some hard use.

Because my Christmas travels require a twelve-hour combination of plane/long layover/plane, I was curious to see just how long the PowerMonkey would power a BlackBerry Curve 8900, playing video non-stop.For testing purposes, I used a music video on continuous replay with the backlight on.It worked for 7 hours and 52 minutes before the battery light began flashing to indicate low power. The results may skew slightly higher because the volume was turned off. However, I did not turn off the Wi-Fi, phone or e-mail function so perhaps these functions will balance out the power saved by muting the volume.Even if the total video playing time is less than nearly eight hours, I am pleasantly surprised to learn that the PowerMonkey should easily provide enough power to play movies for any entire five-hour flight.

The powermonkey-classic was the first charger manufactured by Powertraveller in 2006, bringing a whole new meaning to the term "portable power". Negating the need for an array of different chargers and cables, its compact, lightweight design and charging capabilities quickly made it one of the most popular power solutions available on the market and the name "powermonkey" has become well recognised throughout the UK and Europe as a Made for iPod accessory. The powermonkey-classic incorporates a lithium-Ion battery which can recharge your mobile phone fully up to three times before you'll need to recharge the powermonkey unit. It will also give you up to 40 hours of play time on your iPod, 48 hours on your PDA and up to 5 hours gaming on your handheld games console.Weighing just 70 grams and measuring 88 x 39 x 37mm, powermonkey-classic will work with any electronic device up to 5.5 volts and comes with a universal mains adaptor that works in over 150 countries around the world. Included with the powermonkey is a pack of adaptors (monkeynuts) for the leading mobile phone brands (including Sony-Ericsson, Samsung, Nokia and BlackBerry), as well as tips for other handheld gadgets such as iPod and Sony PSP. It is also compatible with the latest iPhones. The powermonkey-classic portable charger can be recharged either by the included universal mains charger or via the retractable USB cable in the kit.The new powermonkey-classic V2 (Version 2), has the same functionality as its predecessor, but aesthetic improvements include a sliding ON/OFF switch to prevent accidental activation and recessed LED lights, making the unit more streamlined. The new unit is also slightly slimmer and smaller in length.

If you are looking at this product as a portable charger for you Droid look elsewhere. What this product does, (and how it is described) is extend the charge of your phone when your charge level gets low.It will not recharge your phone. When you unplug your phone after several hours of use beyond what you would normally have gotten without the extender, the charge level will be close to or at the same level as when you plugged it in.It will not be at a higher charge leve.

NEW MOTOROLA OEM TRAVEL CHARGER A/C FOR RAZOR SPN5185B Review

Eforcity has great customer service.I've ordered this item and they made a little mistake by sending charger SPN5185B instead of SPN5185A.I mentioned it in the seller feedback, and they instantly sent another charger with the correct P/N.Much appreciated, excellent, I wish all sellers were like Eforcity!

Kensington Mini Car Charger for Mobile Devices with USB Port Review

I have a Motorola Droid smart phone that eats battery power for lunch, especially when using the GPS feature, so I needed a car charger for longer car trips.Instead of buying an OEM charger that is only designed to work with my phone, I decided getting a universal USB charging port was the way to go.After looking at a few options, I decided on the Kensington mainly because of brand recognition and low cost.

The charger itself is just a simple plug that you insert into your car's power port. Then you plug in your USB cable to it and voila, you've got continuous power to your device while charging. The "mini" car charger really is small and nearly sits flush inside the power port.I barely notice it's there.

The only thing that didn't really work to expectation was the power LED light. It is SO dim that you can barely see it at night and can't see it at all in daylight.I tried two of them to be sure. Also, it doesn't look the same as in the Amazon photos. It's slightly different. One, the piece of plastic inside the USB port is black, not white as in the picture.Additionally, the LED is not open but rather sits behind plastic, which is flush to the face.Maybe that's why it is so dim since it is trying to glow through black plastic.

The Kensington Mini Charger is really pretty cool given what it is.I like the size, price, and utility.I know that you can get 2-port USB chargers for just a few dollars more, but I didn't need multiple ports and preferred the "mini" size.I highly recommend it.
