Blackberry Trackball Plus Toolkit Survival Kit Review

When my trackball stopped working I tried all the quick-fixes on the forums out there to no avail. Thinking I'd have to pay for expensive repair or worse yet buy a new one, this was a great cheap fix fix and has prepared me for future trackball clean-outs and other (simple) potential internal issues.

Ferrari Red Blackberry Trackball / Joystick / Navigate / Pearl / Ring Repair Replacement Fix Fixing for Rim Blackberry Pearl 8100 8130 Review

Ok.. saw this on amazon's site while browsing thru accessories for my blackberry pearl and came across this little item. So I thought, why not? It's under ten bucks and fairly easy to install, even for me(after going on youtube and watching someone remove/replace the trackball, which I recommend doing if you wanna see how it's done). The tool that's included isn't what I used, though. I used a very small flathead screwdriver used for fixing watches, alot better than the plastic "tool". Everything fit as described..very cool item if you want a unique looking blackbery. Other colors are available. One suggestion:clean the trackball BEFORE you install it in your blackberry. (Shine a flashlight thru the trackball) Mine was a little dirty (found out after I put it in..doh.), but after removing it again and cleaning it (being careful, of course) it was fine. Cleaning cloth was a bonus too. That itself usually is five bucks. Well worth the price.
