iSkin revo2 Diablo - case for smartphone Review

After looking at many different options for the iPhone cover, I decided on the iSkin.Here are some pros and cons.

Pros
1)Nice all around protection.Some covers only the backside of the iPhone and doesn't seem to protect it on the front.
2)Cover is snug and doesn't come off like other covers.The extra rubber piece that goes across the top and bottom of the iPhone keeps the cover snug and doesn't come off even when you're digging it out of your jean pocket.Also, doesn't get loose over time like some other covers.
3)Fairly thick compared to others - takes away from the sleek look and feel of the iPhone but would definitely provide more protection if you dropped it.
4)Grippy - stays put even on the dash of a moving car.

Cons
1)Thick and bulky - see Pros #3 above.
2)The rubber material collects dust like one of those Swiffers.Once again, takes away from the nice look of the iPhone.
3)It does collect dust / grime under the edges of the cover (around the touch screen) but easy to just take the cover off and wash it with water, dry, and put it back on.
4)The little plastic shield that comes with it is pretty useless.I found it annoying and stopped using it after a week.

Overall, I'm happy with it.It's definitely more function than look.If you're looking for something pretty to look at, this isn't it.

Pong Case for iPhone 3G/3GS Review

I'm going to disregard the radiation benefits of this case because I can't prove they exist, and there have been independent studies that have shown the case reduces radiation by 65%. You can look it up.

Instead, I will comment about the functionality of the case. It has a hefty feel to it, adding a little weight to the phone but not enough to really cause issues. It doesn't seem to be as stretchy as my other silicone cases, meaning that the phone itself doesn't move around inside of it. I think overall it's a hair thicker than most, which is alright. I'd rather it didn't say "Pong" in big white letters on the back, but you can't have everything. All of the ports and camera lens line up fine when the case is in place.

My only real complaint is that the "sleep" button at the top is a little tricky to feel through the material, but after a while you'll get it. You have to just press harder. Same with the volume control. Also, my battery extender pack doesn't work unless I remove the case which is a bit of a hassle. Again, not a deal breaker.

I will live with these few minor annoyances to get the benefit of less radiation going through my skull. My last advice is to shop around a bit on price.

Edit: Now that I've been using this for a while, I have noticed something I don't like - the design on the back tends to trap dust and dirt. I generally don't just drop the phone in my pocket, so it's weird how it's picking up all this crap.

Pong Case for iPhone 3G/3GS Review

I've been looking for an iPhone case that was protective for the phone, minimal in size, and attractive.I am also one to be conscious of the radiation I'm exposed to on a daily basis, and given that I keep my iPhone in my pocket much of the time, my family jewels were of utmost concern.

I can't speak to the actual function of this case as protection from radiation (however, search [...] for an article on this case, and note the update to their initial suspicions...this case is legit).

The fit of this case leaves something to be desired.The mold lines along the edge of the iPhone are prominent, with excess silicon hanging in places.Its not HORRIBLE, but I'm picky so I notice these things.The fit around the power button is rather loose, meaning you have to push harder than you'd think to work the button (note: I actually like the feel of the click I get from this button now).I find it much harder to use my volume up and down buttons with this case installed, and nearly impossible to toggle the mute button without a small tool.

The design on the back of this case is very attractive and sheik, and I actually like it a lot.Its got a decent amount of grip, though with the fingers of varying length, it tends to pick up any loose particles you set it on.

The bezel around the front of the phone is a good size, so much so that I would be confident placing my iPhone face down on a table.

Overall, I'm happy with this case.The price is steep for its fit and finish but you can't get the radiation protection it offers anywhere else, so you have to take that into consideration.

If the price drops to $40, this case will sell MUCH better.
