Upon ordering this gadget I was skeptical it would work. Well, it does work. Holds my Garmin, iPod or cell phone with ease. How inventive! When I got my Garmin a few months ago, there was no place to mount it. Suction, sticky pad or dash mount just wouldn't work. The vent is the perfect location. Just within reach and out of the way. The holder has a nice swivel tilt that allows you to change the position of the pads that hold the device at top/bottom or side/side. On the downside, it arrived with no instructions at all. It's not entirely intuitive, but only took a few minutes to figure out how to mount it. However, the vent slats in my Honda Element were too close together. It barely fit on the bottom slat and I did manage to break the slat installing it. Including a measurement of the space between slats that the clamps will fit would also be helpful.
