I can confirm that this works with the iPhone 3G / iPod Touch 2G, just as advertised.It also works on older iPods.I was pleased to discover that the output (on the connector's USB power pin) is regulated to exactly 5.00 volts, just like it's supposed to be, so there's no danger of overloading your iPhone/iPod's charging circuit if you use lithium AAs, for example.The on/off switch and power LED on the battery box are also nice features.

The battery box I received doesn't look like the picture--the four AA cells are in two linear groups of two, instead of all side-by-side, so the box is longer and narrower than the one in the picture.

I'm giving this only 4 stars because the plastic feels a little cheap, but it works perfectly.
