I searched for almost a week to find a dect 6.0 phone that didn't have an answering machine, don't need it with voicemail! Yes it's basic, but perfect for someone that wants just a phone to talk on with caller id. Uses rechargeable batteries, not a battery pack, that I like. So far have had 0 problems with it.
