Brother MFC-8440 Laser Multifunction Review

I run a home office and am a heavy user of printing, scanning, faxing and copying. This unit replaced an old copier and an older printer/fax.

Installation gave me error messages. My system does have a lot of software and drivers on a WinXP Pro SP2 operating system. I was able to manually get the drivers installed. No, I didn't have the patience to call Brother.

Function in all modalities is superb. Text print quality and speed are excellent. Graphics are good.

Copying and fax work like a charm, both sheetfed and flatbed.

I compared the color scanning against my Epson 2450 Photo scanner. For routine scanning, I prefer the Brother. If I need to tweak a scan, I'll use the Epson. That's a pretty good recommendation!

I can highly recommend this product (with the one installation caution). Others have not reported install problems and I suspect this was my fairly complex system.

If you need a laser based AIO, by all means give this a try!

CaseCrown iPhone 3G Soft Polycarbonate Slim Fit Case & Transparent LCD Screen Protection - Silver Review

This item is not so terribly soft that it doesn't protect your iPhone. The corners on it are perfect so that it protects your (my) phone in all the right places. Also, the camera lens is totally protected (and not obstructed), and you can still see the "apple" logo on the back of the phone, which serves (for me, anyway) as an excellent teeth/lipstick checking mirror.I have dropped my phone plenty of times, and the case has taken a bit of a beating (most noticeably at the corners on the front - and that's not from regular use), but when taken off of the phone, the phone looks brand new all around.I highly recommend this sturdy yet comfortable product to people like me who drop stuff and need protection but are looking for minimal bulk (I am a girl and need to put the phone into little purses, e.g.).Someone really put thought into its design.

NEW! HIGH QUALITY AC POWER TRAVEL ADAPTER PLUG For use in GERMANY FRANCE CZECH REPUBLIC BELGIUM POLAND and more / WITH DUAL PLUG-IN PORTS! (WORKS AS TWO-ADAPTERS-IN-ONE!) / GROUNDED / See Product Description for compatible countries Review

If you're a frequent traveller like me, you know you need adaptors in foreign countries to plug things in and charge cell phones, computers etc. So many places have inferior sockets, especially anything less than brand new 4 or 5 star hotels. I've used low quality generic adaptors many times and finally got fed up with the plugs falling out of the sockets, especially when weighted down with other cables or power supplies. Not only is it annoying but it's also really bad for electronics, having the power go on and off intermittently. Finally a really well made adaptor that stays put! The plugs are made to a very high standard and the fit into a socket is a lot tighter than others. A recent trip to Europe (I used 3 different ones) proved this. In direct comparison to a generic adaptor the solidity of the connection was vastly superior. The extra outlet on the top also proved very handy without having to use an extra distribution adaptor. Why would you plug in a $1000 laptop with a 99 cent adaptor and risk hard drive damage?

As an audiophile, I also know that better connections make better sound. Anyone who uses high quality aftermarket cables knows this. Power supply connections are no different. Trust me, if you care about what you're plugging in, this is the only adaptor to get. Also, any outlets that can be grounded, are. A lot of adaptors have no ground connection, if there's something there it's usually a plastic pin. In any case I bought the whole set and am very happy with them. For a few extra bucks, they are worth every penny. Buy these, you won't be sorry!

Product Description:
The adapter Type E/F can be used in the following countries: GERMANY, FRANCE, Czech Republic, Poland, Belgium, Slovakia, Finland, Estonia (Exceptions may occur). The Adapter is designed with TWO electrical receptacles outlets (ports) allow you to plug-in two electrical device at once. The main outlet at the front is a universal receptacle that accepts all types of connectors (Including: 2-Prong US "polarized", 3-Prong US grounded, European, UK, AUS and India plug standards. But not the large South African plug). The second outlet at the top of the adapter accepts 2-Prong US plugs (polarized too) and European 2-Prong plugs. Please Note! The adapter does not change the Voltage. Please check the voltage standard for the travel destination and use a Voltage converter with the adapter if needed. (example, Europe use mainly 230 Volts). Many electrical devices such as AC/DC chargers for Laptops, cameras etc allow a multi range Voltage (110-240 Volts) and eliminate the need of a Voltage converter. Sometimes electrical device have a switch for either 120 or 230 Volts (remember to set back!). Please check the specifications on your equipment. Powering a 120 Volts device with 230 Volts can destroy the equipment and cause fire.

Apple iPod touch 2G (2nd Generation) White Extended Battery (1000 mAh) Review

My son gave me his phone and I didn't like the gray color so I ordered this case and it has held up wonderfully and protects the phone very well. I have dropped it and shoved it in my purse and I only see minimal wear and tear. Also, the price is unbeliveable. When I ordered this I thought it would be a piece of junk but really it is great. I ordered red, since that is my color and everyone comments on my phone!

Peripheral iSimple PXAMG/PGHNI2 Nissan iPod Adapter w/Text +Aux Review

Worked well enough, but I went ahead and replaced the OEM headunit with a double din Pioneer receiver. Did it's job well, but I wanted more control, plus the Bose system that came in the car just didn't cut it, so I replaced the whole system.
